Dr Alpa Kanji completed an undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences, and then undertook research in bacterial genetics for which she was awarded a PhD, both at the University of Cambridge. After a variety of roles in the corporate sector, she attended King’s College London to complete her medical degree. She is currently a dermatology registrar and has worked in a number of London hospitals during her training. She is regularly involved in teaching medical students as well as other healthcare professionals. She has a particular interest in atopic dermatitis and is passionate about empowering patients to manage their skin condition optimally. She also practices Habit Reversal which teaches patients to eradicate longstanding habits of itching and picking their skin.
