Lauren Ducrey is an award-winning poet, mindfulness facilitator and AI designer (ex-Google). When she’s not designing more emotionally supportive AI, Lauren is on a mission to break poetry out of its ivory tower as an accessible means to support our wellbeing. She kicked off this mission by making the Google Assistant more emotionally literate for vulnerable users, before leading research on how chatbots can support GenZ's wellness. Particularly convinced that conversational AI can provide untapped spaces for people to practice difficult conversations, she joined ReflexAI as UX Lead to build an AI-powered program for veterans to become stronger supporters for fellow veterans. Lauren also brings the connective - and creative - power of words to companies and universities through bespoke training and workshops that leverage both poetry and AI.
