Andrew MacKenzie is a director in the Centre for Surveillance and Applied Research at the Public Health Agency of Canada. Andrew's portfolio of surveillance activities include positive mental health, suicide, family violence, injuries and physical activity. Prior to joining the Public Health Agency in early 2018, Andrew spent 18 years managing health and disability surveys at Canada's national statistical agency with a brief exchange to work at the United Nations developing disability surveys for children in low and middle income countries. Andrew holds a Ph.D. in Sociology with a concentration in health and disability measurement and is currently an adjunct research professor at Carleton University.
