Emiliano De Cristofaro is a Professor at University College London (UCL), where he heads the Information Security Research Group, and a Faculty Fellow at the Alan Turing Institute.
Before moving to London, he was a research scientist at Xerox PARC. He received a PhD in Networked Systems from the University of California, Irvine, advised by Gene Tsudik.
Overall, Dr De Cristofaro does research on security and privacy technologies, as well as understanding and countering safety issues via measurement studies and data-driven analysis.
In 2013 and 2014, he co-chaired the Privacy Enhancing Technologies Symposium, and in 2018, the security and privacy track at WWW. In the same year, he also received best paper awards from NDSS and ACM IMC.
