Chandler Carter is a recent masters graduate and Roy H. Park Fellow from UNC-Chapel Hill’s School of Media and Journalism whose research areas are media psychology and health communications. Her research explores the impact of media on women’s body image, self-presentation on social media and the presentation of struggle in health communications. After receiving her undergraduate degree from Brown University, she worked in market research at WebMD where she researched topics such as the telehealth landscape, preparing to cope with mental health issues in college and patient-doctor bias.
