Thalamos was founded by cousins Arden and Ross in 2018. With a psychiatrist for a father, Arden was exposed to the world of acute mental health care at a young age. It wasn’t until a close friend was sectioned that he realised this emergency care pathway was managed by moving around paper forms. Thalamos creates digital tools to support clinicians in reducing errors inherent in a paper process, and improve outcomes. Thalamos is a for-profit social enterprise investing 5% of profits in mental illness research.
